Michael Evans |
Michael is the CEO of Cambridge Carbon Capture Ltd. He is an innovator focused on the development and commercialisation of Cambridge Carbon Capture Ltd’s CO2LOC technology. He has undertaken 6 InnovateUK funded projects including collaborations with Materials Science Department at the University of Cambridge and Greenwich University. Michael has a track record in innovation and business development with 3 start-up companies in the clean tech sector, raising > £22m of investment, including floating one of his companies on AIM at a valuation of £50m in 2007. |
Robert Copcutt |
Robert is the Lead Chemical Engineer of Cambridge Carbon Capture Ltd. He studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and did his PhD at Middlesex University on high temperature electrochemical sensors. At Keele University he researched solid oxide fuel cells. He then moved to the University of Cambridge where he first worked in the Materials Science and Metallurgy Department under Prof Derek Fray developing a system to produce sodium on demand by electrochemical pumping. He then worked on the Cambridge FFC process for the electrochemical refining of stable oxide ores and has 2 royalty earning patents in the field. He then consulted for CMR Fuel Cells where he worked with the founders of CCC |
Antony Cox |
Antony is Senior Scientist at Cambridge Carbon Capture Ltd. and Senior Research Associate at University of Cambridge, Materials Science & Metallurgy Department. His research encompassed materials chemistry and electrochemical technology applied to sustainable extractive metallurgy, recycling and development of chemical sensors with a view to low cost and clean environment. Antonyt has expertise in the use of molten salts and the design and use of equipment to perform high temperature electrochemistry. Tony has been a long-standing consultant to CCC and numerous companies developing new process technologies including Metalysis and Sensotec. In his role as a scientific researcher he has been heavily involved in acquiring project funding and overseeing knowledge transfer to industry and published 20 papers. |
